Project Status

Before work begins, construction fencing is installed for safety, erosion control is installed to protect waterways from pollution, and tree protection fencing is placed to protect the roots of existing trees.

The new restroom will be located where adjacent to the main gazebo placing it centrally in the park. With the previous hardscape here removed, the grading contractor has prepped the area for utility rough-in and foundation construction.

Foundations are in and sewer, water, and electrical utility rough-in nearly complete. Crews will place the first two courses of block next then complete the utility rough-in before pouring the building slab.

Rebuilt in 2010, courts 3 & 4 only required the application of a resurfacer then fresh color coats and lines. Crews have completed application of the first color coat and should install lines-including pickleball lines-in the next few days.

Original to the park, courts 1 & 2 had nearly 1500 linear feet of cracks. Crews have installed a product called Riteway to repair cover these cracks. Once resurfacer and color are applied, the existing cracks and repair will disappear.

Masons, electricians, plumbers, and steel workers must coordinate to install conduit, piping, and structural reinforcement as masons build and grout the walls.

In less than a week masons have completed the block wall interiors that provide the structure for the facility and carpenters have begun installing roof trusses. Insulation and dampproofing will be installed next prior to the installation of the brick veneer.

Workers begin installation of the ridge vent and soffits following completion of the metal roof panels and gutters.

Contractors are connecting sinks, installing the waterfountain, and putting the final touches on the paint and other finishes of the building.

New ADA-compliant sidewalks are being meticulously crafted by a skilled concrete crew to provide accessibility for the new restroom building, the existing gazebo, and to the other amenities along this primary path through the park.
